Her name is Sky. She is 15 months. Not the 7 1/2 month old Staffie Tyson I expected, but whatever.
She is cute. Her british mum and dad let her get away with nipping at the hands-it does not hurt, just embarrassing when you're out and about on a walk. She is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier. It is smaller than the American Pit Bull, but bred for the same purpose. I think more divergance is needed from the American Pit Bull lineage, before this is a breed I would own without qualms.
I do miss my sweet Maverick.

The Green Trash Bag
Ever wondered why they had dog poop bags that could degrade but not trashbags that could? Now the wonderment is over, they have one. Pick one up at your local comissary. The green trash bag is now here. It not only is green in color, but it also degrades within 24 months. Thought it was funny that recommended use is within 6 months of opening the package.
The comissary also has a range of eco products that are priced to compete, finally. With competitive pricing, I thought it worth a try. Most of the products are from Seventh Generation. So far I'm liking this brand, but I have not worked courage to try out the 100% recyled tiolet paper...and I don't think I will.

We have internet!
Green Wedding Shoes Blog: check out the underwater shoot. It is amazing.
Also, Sky, not Tyson is our Brindle Staffie. She is a sweetie, but I think her owning was fooled by her non-chewing habits. Since she has been here, she has destroyed a foam ball and mouthed some shoes. What else would a kid do except test the limits the new babysitter has?
The folks at Woodgreen are amazing. Our dog has had three owners in her short life of 15 months. At one time she was locked in a cabinet. He current owner is escaping domestic violence. We are taking care of Sky until her owner can find a safe home and take care of her again. Woodgreen provides all Sky's food and gear. They even will pick her up and watch her when we go out of town. How awesome is being able to help someone out at?
In other news, we have internet.
We are almost settled into our place. There are a few rooms that are crazy, but we have an excuse. :)

We're going to be parents!
The people at Woodgreen found us a dog to shelter.
This is our little note from them:
Seven and a half month old white Staffie - not neutered at present but will be neutered in our care (not immediately due to waiting list)

( I googled this, to see what Tyson might look like)
He is white with a black ear and a black tail and some random black spots. He has the misleading name of Tyson, he is young gets excited but calms down quickly. Bought up around a seven month old child and very loving with the child. He is fully vacc'd. Understood to be good with other dogs, spends time with a friend's JRT and play happily together. Fully housetrained.
